Aoshi Tanaka, a dramatic high school student, is about to claim the last pudding cup in the cafeteria when his rival, the cool and collected Rina Hoshino, snatches it first. In response, Aoshi publicly declares war on her in front of everyone. The confrontation ends with Aoshi being dragged away by his friend, fuming over his defeat and horrified by a rumor that their constant fighting might actually mean they like each other. He vows to get his revenge on Rina.
