Zombie apocalypse stories can be a little redundant, that or losing their narrative way by the later chunks of the story. What comes after isn't one of these stories.

The story stays true to itself while leveraging some tropes and plot points from the genre, which provided crispness to the structure. Rarely do I felt that the story is dragging on or being too fast.

Most of character and events talk is spoiler territory and reviews aren't my strong suit so I'll just say many characters are pretty fleshed out with internal motivations explored in a way truthful to a world-end reaction, where all the layers of defensive subconscious falls apart. And one truly faces themselves and how they've been living so far.

Now the PROSE, the DISTRIBUTIONS! Someone shut me up already.

Vivid, intentional, descriptive in a way the guides the imagination to the bullseyes of the meaning, and above all non pretentious, it's easy to get too flowery and abandon the substance sometimes, but that didn't happen here. Very skillful.
