“Hello, Tamashi Ume! I am the Guide. How would you like to be a test subject?”
That was the first thing Tamashi heard on an otherwise ordinary morning. An azure, talking smoke had just asked him if he'd volunteer to be a lab rat.
Before he knew it, Tamashi's brain was flooded with information: his planet was going to awaken magic and all kinds of bizarre superpowers, and he had been given the option to be this magic system's beta tester.
Seeing no reason to refuse, Tamashi accepted the offer, gaining access to the system a year early. Now, he needs to prepare for the eventual public release of the system, protect his family from the oncoming chaos and prevent humanity from destroying itself with its newly gained powers.
