Ruirikaru follows the tale of four shrine maidens Kaguya Iwate, Fuku Amori, Shiori Niigata, Ai Aichi and their mutually drunkard Neji, Miyugi Okinawa. Set in 2055, the world lives on a line where the natural, supernatural and 'science' exist on a thin line of Ignorance and awareness. Those born with the seed of Yorishiro dedicate their lives to protect this thin boundary between the 'science', supernatural and natural. What follows is a tale of absurdity in the urban Kyoto new development plan.
