Fourteen year old Shiraishi Mamoru goes on a family trip to Cancun, Mexico. Everything was normal until a weeping Japanese women started appearing in the background of his selfies.

This silent figure, who only he can see, follows him back to Japan, driving him to the brink of paranoia as he identifies her as the mythical Ubume, a spirit said to lure men to a crushing, rock-related doom.

His escalating terror is partially mitigated by his persistent and overly cheerful classmate, Ishikawa Ueno, whose company offers a strange sense of safety.
