Daisuke Tanaka always dreamed of becoming a top detective in Japan’s elite Magical-Specialized Emergency Response Team, M-SERT, a specialized law enforcement agency founded by the government to handle all emergencies magical in nature. But after successfully graduating from the academy, he gets stuck with the worst team on the roster.

One is Aki, tall, beautiful, and a fire mage with a very cool temper. But whenever she gets angry, she becomes a living, breathing super weapon with the destructive capacity on par with a mini nuclear warhead.

The other is Miko, obsessed with magitech, magically enhanced firearms, and claims she has a medical condition where her fingers begin to itch if she goes ten minutes without shooting something.

Together, they make up shibuya division, and they respond to Japan’s strangest magical disasters, from cursed mascot parades to dimensional rifts opening in convenience stores, usually leaving a smoking crater in their wake.
