I am still reading (if the over 100 notifs from me doesn’t make my presence obvious enough) but the thought of someone reviewing before me already pisses me off.
Will come back to add thorough one
Coming back with proper review now
Oto is a lovely main character. But gotta be honest, this was Hayami’s story. (Not complaining)
Hayami had a STRONK asf backstory which carried the whole book.
This, in return, gave author Goose plenty of chances to reveal Oto’s layer, one by one.
Giles (weird to say his name as that’s also my name), have a solid background as well.
I love that everyone Hayami could’ve tidied up for Oto was cleaned up. I love how Oto wasnt all sunshine and glitters. He also craves violence deep down. I love that the boy is ripped enough to carry Hayami, cause homegirl must’ve been what, 100kg of pure angst and bullet thingies.
ending was solid for me. their fathers wouldn’t have been tiger or dragon for nothing if they fell down easily. that part where Giles popped off on the end was chilling and well pulled. also when that random punk ass lil shit of a “friend” appeared lol I'm happy really that all the deserves Hayami’s bullet met it.
Story wise ✅ , plot wise ✅ , character wise ✅ , this is very solid book. Much like in the same quality of books I’ve read in libraries.
Spotlight wise, Oto was spotlight hungry. Hayami was spotlight repulsed. That much was clear.
There were comments here and there on the effect they have on the world around them, but more could’ve done in the way of “show the effects of the relationship being exposed, both to the couple affected, and the fans”. It felt that most of the fan’s reactions to their relationship has fallen to Oto’s “yay trending” or Hayami’s “don’t care” and not further explored. That being said, being viral is a reaction / result enough to stand on its own.
Good nod in the end about them still trending and gaining conspiracies with regards to their partnership.
I can imagine the helicopter photos to be badass asf 💕🥰
CURRENT TOP 1 FOR THE CONTEST FOR ME. will change if another one comes along.
