Cecelia Summers is a 24 year-old substitute kindergarten teacher who lives alone with her cat and if that sounds awful, that's because it is. Teaching is a nightmare and anyone who says otherwise simply cannot be trusted. But you know what's even worse than cleaning up snot, tears, and poop all day? Sundry bills and student debt. And so, just as Cecelia was contemplating selling a kidney, Amelia, her fashion model twin sister, got sick and came up with a proposal: take her place as a guest at a ritzy charity gala and earn her atmosphere modeling fee for the night. Easy money, right?

Enter Adrian Valentine, a semi-famous actor, and one of Amelia’s old friends. Originally, Adrian was supposed to attend this shindig with Amelia but he wound up babysitting her sister instead and just like that, his life changed.

This is the story of a struggling working girl, a rich pretty boy, and their attempt to navigate adulthood with only a handful of brain cells between them.
