Miyazawa Yuya is an ordinary sixteen-year old student at Sendai High-School in Tokyo. He’s far from a straight A-student, though not a bad one either; to put it mildly, he’s a withdrawn, quiet boy. Yet his life is anything but average. His family life is in ruins, because his relatives treat him like nothing. His father only ever verbally abuses his younger son, calling Yuya the family’s disgrace, further undermining the boy’s already fragile self-confidence. His older brother, Hokuto, a twenty-year old university student whom the family deems perfect in every way, also takes physical pleasure in wielding power over his younger sibling.
