Going into this as a non-chess fan I didn’t know what to expect but honestly? This story really goes hard! EPGM really lacks nothing compared to every other animated series out there. The characters are unique and great to read, the plot is clearly mapped out and carefully thought out, the mechanics and the lore suit the vibe perfectly and the mix of genres really glues together amazingly well! Mario’s love for chess and this series really shines through and honestly kudos to him for writing something so engaging!
