The prince of dragons has been killed. The lone witness, a shapeshifting kitsune, refuses to take the fall for his death. In a latch-ditch effort to avoid being prosecuted, she disguises herself as the prince. She finds herself within an arranged marriage, and has to fool her spouse, the royal family, and the entire world.

As the kitsune becomes entangled within the world of royal politics, an angelic detective starts to investigate. No lie lasts forever, and when the mask finally breaks, the kitsune will surely be sent to her death.
