Elam just wanted a quiet life as a hunter in the snowy north - just him, his rifle, and the occasional troublesome wolf. But when livestock start disappearing, everyone blames the same culprit: a legendary Amarok, a massive Great Wolf said to snack on humans who ignore the old tales.

So Elam goes to hunt it.

What he finds instead?

An injured wolf-girl who can talk, shapeshift, and look unfairly gorgeous even while bleeding into the snow.

And she’s hiding something. Something dangerous. Something strong enough to hurt an Amarok.

Now Elam has a beautiful, snarky, possibly man-eating wolf in his house, and he’s about to learn that the forest around him is full of secrets - most of them sharp, magical, and very interested in him.
