An illegal curse is a powerful spell with deadly consequences. But when 2nd-year high school student and homemaker Unosuke Higeta is struck by an illegal curse, he doesn’t die. Instead, when night falls, Unosuke’s body transforms into a hideous monster: a gargoyle. After his life is spared by his classmate and local shrine maiden, Suzuka Miyagawa, Unosuke is brought into the world of professional onmyoji. Together with Suzuka and a descendant of Abe no Seimei, Mitsuhiko Tsuchimikado, Unosuke investigates the recent influx of illegal curses so he can find the source of his own curse and destroy it. At the same time, a disturbing thought lingers in the back of Unosuke’s mind. Was he cursed by accident or was it fate?
