Takuya Kaze is a fifteen-year-old high school student with a refined appearance and quiet charisma, yet he remains socially isolated due to his poor interpersonal skills. Viewing the world through a semi-nihilistic and existential perspective shaped by a tragic past, he distances himself from others and earns the nickname “Loner.”

His carefully maintained solitude begins to falter when Sato Itsuki, a transfer student, joins his class. Unlike everyone else, she shows a calm yet persistent interest in him, disrupting the emotional distance he has built. As their interactions deepen, Takuya is forced to confront the foundations of his worldview.

Through their unusual dynamic, the story explores whether a life defined by detachment and resignation can be altered — and whether human connection, however subtle, is capable of changing the way one perceives the world.
