Takuya Kaze, despite being a charismatic and impeccably groomed 15-year-old high school student, his lacking of interpersonal skills makes him socially isolated in school. Owing to the fact that he views world in a semi-nihilistic and existentialistic way, people around gave him a nickname, "Loner". But his ideology is primarily resulting from his tragic and unfortunate past, which will be eventually uncovered from the story. One day, a girl, Sato Itsuki has transferred to his school, and would attend the same class.
