I really enjoyed this short story and how it draws the reader in with a world that feels gritty and nightmarish. The characters are decent but you never are quite able to connect with them as the pacing is meant to get to the meat of things: the cryptid horror. By the middle is when “things” really go down and Austin did a fantastic job on this part painting a creature beyond human imagination that is sure to disturb the audience is the best way possible.
Overall solid story mate!
