Noah Lee, a cynical 21st century office worker, drifts off to sleep after a long night playing his favourite 4X space strategy game, only to awaken strapped to a chair aboard the violently shaking SV-Eclipse, a ship he’s never seen but inexplicably commands.
He is immediately thrust into a nightmare of blaring sirens and falling debris, only to be informed by the ship’s eerily calm AI, Calliope, that the vessel has been forcefully hijacked.
The ship’s Fold Drive -- a technology for faster-than-light travel -- has been engaged against its will, casting the Eclipse into the unmapped, desolate void of dark space on the fringe of the galaxy.
As the sole occupant of a retro-futuristic cargo hauler that resembles a flying brick, Noah must grapple with the surreal reality of his predicament.
