This short story takes place in an alternate reality where the world burned. Afterward, the world changes and becomes much more mysterious. As the sky turns into a screen and the weather becoming unpredictable, humanity must overcome their grief and apathy. This story is about the final night shift of Blaine. See his final night through as he does his best to help his community.
This is a part of a series I want to write called The Lost Age. I would say that this short story is semi cannon. There are things here that will be used, but I think if I ever revisit this specific story, I may expand it more. I wrote this short story as a way to introduce the idea of this world. I will keep writing the full series and I hope that you like this series. I may keep posting more short stories in the meantime, hope you look forward to that.
