This feels like a Twilight Zone episode, which is a good place to be in. I like that it's unclear whether spooky stuff is actually happening or if it's mostly in the main character's head, due to the missed meds thing meaning she's a fundamentally unreliable narrator. The use of the difficult plot element was also excellent.
Naturally, elements of this are going to recall the legendarily traumatizing Night of the Chimera's Cry, but I actually think that memory ends up doing this story no favors. It probably wasn't your intention to seek competition with that level, but that's my reaction as a reader who's familiar
The actual problem, if you can call it one, becomes that I find it difficult to think of any elements of this one that stand out. It's doing a fine job, and it's doing an incredibly consistent fine job, but I don't think there was a point where it wowed me. It's going to be down to the individual, whether you value core consistency or high spikes, but I tend to go for the latter myself.
Still, when that's my biggest issue, in a sense it's a good problem to have.
