This Meteor Had No Right Hitting This Hard

Romcom at its purest and finest!
This story is the perfect example of how you don’t need a massive cast to create something truly engaging and memorable. I was especially curious to see how the character development would be handled, and Taylor absolutely nailed it. With a protagonist like Hade, it would’ve been easy to rush his growth, but everything unfolded at just the right pace.

The contrast between Meda, who’s deaf, and Hade, who can’t get enough of the sound of his own voice, is such a beautifully tragic irony. It immediately defines their dynamic from the very beginning: what happens when someone who desperately wants to be heard… can’t be heard at all? 😅 That’s where this story truly shines.

Another aspect I couldn’t get enough of was the com in romcom. The blend of Japanese and English dialogue is genuinely impressive and must’ve been incredibly difficult to execute naturally, yet it works so smoothly. Hats off 🎩

All in all, Hit Me Like a Meteor is absolutely worth reading for anyone looking for a wholesome romance filled with heart, humor, stars, emotional boundaries, and the power of believing in yourself.
