The story revolves around the three students who are surrounded by mysteries that cannot named whether it is the product of a supernatural phenomenon or some heinous truth that the evil intends on hiding. This is the journey of Kaname Yashiro, a shaman apprentice who wishes to clean of the otherworldly, Yukio Manabe, a genius who uses his wits to bring out the real truth and Hikari Kurokawa, a normal who seemingly cannot leave her friends alone despite the danger they embark on.
