Harumasa Kengo has been rejected often enough to reach a firm conclusion: true love only exists in dramas and anime. In real life, confessions fail, feelings go unanswered, and everything ends with an awkward “let’s just stay friends.”
Determined to avoid further embarrassment, he decides to stop believing in romance altogether.
That decision is put to the test when Kurumi Mitsuzu invites him to join the Heartbreak Society, a campus group dedicated to helping students recover from breakups and one-sided crushes.
The irony is impossible to ignore—Kengo, the one who doesn’t believe in love at all, is suddenly expected to help fix everyone else’s.
As he gets involved with the Society’s emotionally chaotic members and their questionable “recovery strategies,” Kengo finds himself drawn into the very genre he claims only works in fiction: a romantic comedy.
