Synopsis

He turned eighteen in winter.
She came every day.

A boy confined to a hospital bench records the world around him—birds, seasons, strangers, the subtle movements of life—while his body grows weaker. Rita comes with laughter and worry, with sun on her hair and fear in her eyes, following him through a year of fleeting moments.

From spring’s first buds to winter’s final quiet, they share small joys, whispered fears, and stolen hours, learning that love can survive even when time doesn’t.

A story about waiting, noticing, and learning how to say goodbye without ever really letting go.

This story was written slowly, over a lot of bottled up emotions . I wanted to capture what it feels like to live fully while knowing time is limited—the little moments, the waiting, the laughter, the fear, the notebook entries, the bench under the willow tree, are all things that come back to the base of what would you if you had such little time

Writing it was both beautiful and painful. There were days when continuing felt almost unbearable, because I did not want to watch them suffer, and other days when writing felt like holding them alive for one more paragraph, one more season, one more moment of sunlight.
