January 12th, 2022.
I don’t usually go out, but that day was different.
My friends dragged me to a popular otaku event in Osaka.

I do watch anime… but I’m not that obsessed to the point of going to events like this.

At first, everything felt normal.
Crowd, noise, laughter
Until I looked up at the sky.

Something was wrong.

Right beside the sun… there was a dark shadow.

It kept growing. Getting closer.

A giant meteor.

Panic spread instantly. People screamed and ran in fear.
My friends ran too.

But I knew… running wouldn’t save me.

My body froze. My hands trembled.
I lowered my head and closed my eyes—
waiting for the end.

And then—

…silence.

When I woke up, I was lying on an empty road.

The same place as before.

But the meteor was gone.
There was no impact. No destruction.

And no people.

The city was completely empty…
as if it had been abandoned for years.

What happened that day?

And why… am I the only one left?
