I could start with many things that made the story truly stand out, but I will start with how easy it is to follow. The prose is well written with clearly distinct voices for every character, which adds to the fun.
Armillia and Luphor are two interesting characters, truly opposite to each other, but obsessed with the very distinction. As the title suggests, Luphor is the evil duke whom Armiliia is trying to fix, but that's deeper than you think.
She is a friggin creep (not really, but in a way, yes) who can find Luphor anywhere. And even if he tries to avoid her or be evil, she won't leave him alone until he falls for her too.
There is political drama, past mysteries, and many more things that are better (actually) read than told.
