Chou Machida is a high school student with a big secret: she is a novelist suffering from writer’s block. On a bright spring day, she meets Tatsuo Miyagawa, a mysterious classmate whose sharp vision and “frizzy” hair hide a special talent for art.

They strike a deal; if she helps him find his lost colours, he will be the main character of her story. But shadows of their professional lives and their painful past force them to choose between art or each other, as their collaboration turns into much more. Could two artists prove that there is nothing greater than kindness in a world that requires suffering for its art?
