Story starts off with an interesting premise, although it was very much rom-com feely for the first half of the story (not to mention a bit fast for my personal liking). Once you get past that though, you can see the shift back to the psychological horror stuff, including some unique twists with the actual format of the novel itself (breaking the 4th wall, playing with the spaces between words, etc.).
Parts of the story made me think about things, which is good. I just wish that things were expanded on with another 10-20k words more to flesh the story out (which I guess technically isn't possible with the contest being 50k maximum, but maybe for the future after the contest/with editing and cutting some things). The story is actually longer than my entry, but it feels a lot shorter somehow, although maybe that's just me. Ending is kinda a tossup for me. I like parts of it, but again, it could use more to flesh it out to make it less abrupt. Like if there was a "post-credit" sorta scene, I think that would work to tie things up in a quick manner.
Overall though, I enjoyed the story, not to mention the lovely art that Riwi does :^)
