Centuries ago, the Omegas were an elite force created to destroy demons. With no demons left to hunt, they became something darker — a shadow organization forging child soldiers by stripping away every trace of humanity.
Sonny has never known anything else. Taken at birth and raised as a weapon, he is one of their finest operatives. But one buried memory refuses to die: a girl named Ellie who once grabbed his hand and treated him like a person.
After a bloody break from the organization, Sonny enrolls at the Academy of Magic — the same school Ellie attends — and attempts the impossible: learning how to simply exist.
But the Omegas never forgive deserters.
I came up with this story by creating a character in my head when I was younger. In my mind, I built upon it over the next 10-12 years before I would sleep or was daydreaming to pass time. This year I decided to put pen to paper and make these thoughts in my head real. It was a good way to pass time on the train or flights commuting for my job.
The last time I wrote a creative piece was middle or high school. I’ve never read a manga, but I’ve seen a few anime and felt that an anime-style storytelling fit Ending Omega best. I understand Ending Omega might fit some common anime tropes, but they are tropes I like.
Writing this story was very fun, a cool experience. I have plenty more content in my mind to continue the story which I plan to do throughout the year and will push it out to the public when complete.
I am completely open to feedback on my story. Although I do not have any expectations past sharing this online, I am open to collaborating with other creators.
