It's like my boi Hiro took a Kakegurui tour to Pleasantville somehow. 😅
My god, I read this in one sitting. From start to end, the story grabbed me and didn't let me go. I was engaged from the opening paragraph. The pace and flow are smooth, and the plot progression is really good. There were a lot of rollercoaster emotional beats, and some chapters almost made me think our protagonist was going to believe in the Perfection. Hiro's voice was strong, and the whole setup with migraines and the subtle small triggers really kept me hooked to the next chapter. Like all great horror psych mind benders, the ending leaves on a twist and what feels like a ground hog day loop.
I mean, sure, there were minor spelling errors (handful tbh), but nothing deal-breaking. To be able to write at this level of peak within a short timeframe is genius.
If people are after mind-benders like Stepford Wives or the Truman Show, this one kills it like it owns them. Only got praises.
Great stuff, Trite. I really hope this gem gets into the finals.
