After a tragic accident of her own doing, hard working, yet utterly incompatible mage Ayrie tries to reinvent herself in a new world—only to have love and her past life follow closely behind her.
Ayrie simply wanted to become an adventurer to travel her new world and taste all the food it had to offer. However, she found her classmates constantly getting in her way. The school seemed to conspire against her goals: a Catus that dislikes small talk, an overly enthusiastic plant girl, a professor with an agenda, a prince charming obsessed with fire, and a girl too good to be true. Over time, she learned the world wasn't as simple as it seemed, and more importantly, that she wasn't alone anymore.
I wanted to make it a tradition to write this note from the narrator's perspective, but I realized she might come across a bit... aggro. So instead I hijacked it for her sake.
What Ayrie would like to say is: "Thank you! I hope you enjoy yourself." Trust me.
I set out to write a romcom outside of the typical school/workplace backdrop (nothing wrong with those!). Instead I ended up with a fantasy isekai (very original, I know.) Halfway through I wasn't even sure if it was worth it, even if it was fun to me. Anyway, too many words that aren't the story itself.
I have some notes on how I went about writing this, mostly for myself, but some might find that stuff fun. Either way, have a nice day.
