"I remember the blood. So why is the sun shining?"
For seventeen-year-old Ren, the world ended in a flash of violence and screams. He closed his eyes expecting the void, only to wake up in a hospital bed to the sound of birds chirping and a doctor calling his survival a "miracle."
But something is fundamentally wrong.
As he tries to return to his life as a student, he starts noticing small cracks in the reality around him—details that don’t match his memories and a strange, physical change he can’t explain to anyone.
Is he suffering from post-traumatic stress, or is the world around him hiding a secret? Caught between the "perfect" life everyone wants him to live and the dark fragments of a memory he can't forget, Ren must figure out if he is truly a survivor—or if he’s something else entirely.
This is a story about the things we remember and the things the world wants us to forget. I’ve spent a lot of time developing Ren and the world he inhabits—a world that might look familiar on the surface, but has many layers hidden underneath. I hope you enjoy the journey of piecing it all together.
Don't believe everything you see.
