Okay so I just finished this and I have FEELINGS.
Really enjoyed this. Thought it was gonna be another generic eyepatch anime girl story, but it surprised me.

Kasuga's backstory is heartbreaking. She killed her own cat to get mind-reading powers, saw too much truth she couldn't handle, and literally closed her eye to reality. The blindness wasn't a curse—it was denial. When she finally apologized to Gao-chan? Yeah, I cried.

Miss Renma is hilarious. 300-year-old vampire who steps on the MC's head to wake him up, but also drops deep philosophy.

Ending is sweet. No dramatic confession, just Kasuga smiling without her eyepatch, ponytail, asking to be friends. "This summer felt cooler than usual" is a perfect last line.

Wish Takanashi had more screen time though. And the scammer never got punished.

Solid 4/5. Bakemonogatari vibes but less weird.
