Amongst all the mistakes Mason had made in his life, these three were the most likely cause of his predicament. But being hunted by thugs and on the run while trying to find somewhere to lie low was not the worst part. Having to do that with a child whose real identity was unknown was way worse, because what do you mean he just fell asleep while Mason was fighting off brutes who wanted the child?

Thankfully, Nico was a quiet child who learned quickly. But maybe learning to use a knife shouldn’t come before learning how to talk.
