Synopsis

Richard “Lullaby” Santiago and his Marching Band venture past an ominous wooden sign in search of treasure, only to discover that we all must pay our dues.

This is a short story I had entered into a contest. I placed 3rd out of 25. The criteria was that the story needed to be under 2,000 words while also including the genre of fantasy, a boater, and a recital.

I did enjoy making this and I’m a little motivated to maybe turn this into a full-length novel. Please leave your thoughts.
