To Nash, the answer was obvious: they were real too. Yet his village stood between him and that truth like a cage—or at least, that was what he believed.

His mother forbade him from leaving, concealed the truth about his father, and forced him to hide his half-crimson eye.

Beyond the village lay the freedom he had always desired.

And so, Nash wished for his cage to break.

It did.

A dragon descended from the sky. It burned his village, killed his mother, and left Nash alone before the ashes of the cage he had once wished to escape.

But the dragon had not come for the village.

It had come for him.

Rescued by Kane, the mysterious King of Valenharth, Nash is taken into the world he had always dreamed of seeing, with freedom at last within his grasp.

But freedom may prove far more dangerous than the cage that once protected him.
