Apparently, This Was A Masterpiece... But Not For What You Think

Hm, so.... listen: This story is truly peak and I'm not lying at all.

But before we get to that, this will be the first time for me to write a review and I am not quite sure if it will convince anyone to read this but... I usually come with a different approach as a story reviewer, usually throughout technical terms. And I only recently befriended Mara so I had to analyze my first time reading her works too.

So. Without further ado, let's start:

Normally, people think Chekov's gun as, well... a gun. A weapon that must be pulled during the given definite x time and it should be done with a purpose to trigger a transition to another plot or else, plot twist. This is the most archaic, traditional usage of it.

But what if Chekov's gun is stylized, delayed, if not modified to not pull... but design a trap triggered by the character herself? This... is exactly what Mara does to this story.

It is a masterpiece not due to flowery prose she used, nor due to the way she portrayed character interactions, let alone the plot twist whereas this Goddess is stripped away from its sense of mythology. No, it's not like that at all. What makes this work a masterpiece is this:

It delays any given moment where the trigger should be pulled, only for the main character to fall into the realization she had been running into an area whereas the designed trap was cleverly if not beautifully constructed to attract her attention: And it was a massive success.

So, sorry Mara. I didn't know I wasn't familiar with your game.

Well done on this, and I hope you're gonna win this one. WYATB.
