Five university students. One forest. A legend just vague enough to be worth the risk.

Xavier Vayne just wants to finish a media assignment and graduate without incident but when his group's ambitious leader pitches a documentary on a forest rumored to swallow anyone who films inside it, curiosity wins out over caution. It's either nothing, or good footage. Either way, it works.

It's neither.

Something in the woods doesn't just watch them back. It joins them. A sixth member appears in the group and no one can remember when, or whether she was ever really there at all. As the forest closes in and the group turns on each other, Xavier is forced to confront the one thing he's always been best at: watching, recording, staying just far enough outside the moment to survive it.

But the thing in the woods isn't interested in being filmed.

It's interested in whether he's finally content.
