Tye's ordinary life changes when he finds a tiny baby dragon in his garden and accidentally swallows it. Waking up with a mystical gun as a consequence of eating it, he and his best friend Clay eliminate a local gangster and also brings a thief out of prison using the mystic gun.
While in the forest, they discover a mysterious sports car that rockets out of Earth's atmosphere to Jupiter. Thousands of powerful dragons immediately surround them, welcoming Tye and Clay as their human kings according to an old rule to save their immortal race.
The story centers entirely on these magnificent dragons. When an aggressive nation invades the boys' home island on Earth, the dragons steps up and goes to war.
