Ichido only wanted to live a peaceful life with his family. The world had other plans.

After tragedy tears apart everything he has ever known, Ichido is left struggling to survive while protecting the people he has left.

Then he meets Vidar.

Cold, mysterious, and frighteningly powerful, Vidar offers Ichido something he desperately needs: the strength to survive.

Ichido soon discovers a world filled with Kaichi and Daichi users, warriors capable of wielding extraordinary elemental powers. Behind them lurk dangerous organizations, monsters, hidden motives, and people whose smiles can be far more dangerous than their weapons.

And then comes the Grand Selection.

The rules are simple:

Survive. Adapt. Win by any means necessary.

Thrown among strangers who may become allies or enemies, Ichido must rely on everything Vidar taught him while confronting one terrifying truth:

Being strong enough to survive is one thing.
