The Academy City once stood as a promise to the future, but that promise has been forgotten, and as tensions rise between the three great academies, war seems all but inevitable.

Enter Alice Weiss, a teacher from the Interscholastic Student Council. However, while her role is as a mediator, she is instead assigned to look after Kuro, a delinquent student and one of the few survivors of the destroyed Rhodes Academy.

Despite their differences, the two form an unlikely bond, but as tensions boil over and disaster looms, Alice discovers something that could destroy the Academy City for good.

And in the center of it all is Kuro.
