Pharmaceutical Rewrite is a side story set in an alternate timeline where Akio Hukitaske failed to save the people he loved. In this fractured reality, medicine is no longer simply a cure—it has mostly become a weapon of sorts.
Haunted by failure and scarred by loss, Akio becomes a reluctant chemist-warrior, surviving with only his intellect and vials against twisted experiments, corrupted laboratories, and relentless hunters. But his greatest battle is against the guilt consuming him.
Everything changes when Akio discovers a mysterious serum capable of splitting reality itself. With it comes a dangerous possibility: rewrite fate and save those he lost—or unravel everything that remains.
Across ruined pharmacies, shattered homes, and fractured timelines, Akio must confront the truth that healing isn't always about saving others. Sometimes, it's about finding the strength to save yourself.

However, that outcome never happened because Akio ultimately defeated Yaka in Volume Four of the main series.
In other words, this reality explores what could have happened if things had gone differently—not what actually happened in the main timeline.
