"Steady, breathe. The arrow follows a calm heart."
When he was a child, he learned to shoot from his older sister. She guided him in every lesson, up until she passed. Her bow is the only thing he has of her. When the Empress and her royal entourage of heroes recruit him, he believes he had found purpose. He learns to follow; he learns to serve. But in a battle gone awry, when he refuses to commit heinous acts, he is left to die in the rubble.
Rescued by a ragtag group of orphaned kids known as "Lantern Children", he discovers strength beyond his comprehension. However, this strength is being put to the test as threats come, and he must choose: will he be a cold-blooded shooter the entourage encouraged him to be, or the protector they deserved?
