After the rise of vampires, humanity needed to fight back in order to not be exterminated. A new force, the Vampire Peacemakers, was founded by the church for this very task. Vaelion, a veteran Peacemaker, was tasked to face one of the Vampire Lords, notorious for their incommensurable power. But once they were face to face, he was surprised to see that the Lord he was asked to hunt down was in reality a frail-looking girl called Alice, who refused to fight and instead tried to negotiate, offering her help to Vaelion by exposing the hideouts of the other Vampire Lords in order to hide that she was powerless in reality. The two embark on a journey together in which Alice will try to back-stab Vaelion multiple times, being surprised by his cautious and strategic demeanor.
