In the foggy city of London, in a brick apartment loft that overlooks the Thames River with a view of Big Ben, Willow Harden lives with Jason Chase, his childhood best friend and their two cats, Ember and Nyx.
Willow spends his days helping his father, William Harden, with the family funeral business while he likes to spend his down time reading Sherlock Holmes books and drinking tea.
One day, he is approached by Eliza Kure, who had previously noticed him due to actions he had done in the past, and offers him a job--to become the leader of a mercenary group that she wants to make as a subsidiary for the company she is the CEO of.
Willow agrees to her proposition and already knows who he'd want on the team.
