Words leave wounds and connections have consequences.
Knowing this doesn't stop the peaceful Dark elf, Lingshi, from stepping into conflict whenever he needs to.
Nor from seeking the truth behind the destruction of his homeland, Muzai, as well as the division of his own kind.
Both of which become more difficult the day he rescues a human girl, Chi, from a group of bandits and finds out he has a vengeful dragon-hybrid hot on his trail.
Desperate to keep the girl safe and escape the unjustified wrath of his pursuer, Lingshi heads to the capital city of Zhongshin accompanied by several companions, both old and new.
Starting a journey that will reveal the fragility of a hardened heart and prove to the world just how unbreakable a soft soul can be.
Hello, dear reader 🖖
Thank you for checking out my entry for MyAnimeList x Honeyfeed Writing Contest 2026 - The Heroic Fantasy presented by KADOKAWA under the Tragic Hero prompt.
I plan to enjoy writing and sharing this story with you all the way to the end, despite the many obstacles that have been in my way since I started it (something me and Lingshi have in common, I fear 🤭) . I really hope you enjoy reading it just as much 💜.
Thank you in advance for following the heroic yet tragic tale of a Dark elf and his dear companions, as they travel through fire and blood to discover who they are and what they truly mean to each other.
