Synopsis

How do you run a city-sized high school campus where more than fifty thousand students live together? You do not. The students govern themselves—through a mandated democracy.

Set on a secluded island, Kyousei Academy is an initiative to consolidate Japan’s youth in response to plummeting birthrates. Each week, the student body votes on campus laws and resource allocation

School clubs operate as political factions, with groups like the Theater Club leveraging their voting blocs to counter rivals.

Follow many perspectives. Among them is Jiro, a first-year who joins the Bureau and investigates everything from the Fox Triad to state-wide corruption—wait what?

Elsewhere is Sayoko, a peer who treats loopholes as stepping stones while maneuvering up the hierarchy.

As faction rivalries escalate, competing ideologies put the democracy under increasing strain.
