Two years ago, my grandpa entered an Infinite Hole and never came back.

Since then, I've dedicated my life to studying them: mysterious gateways that appear for chosen people, remain open for only two hours, and lead to a world no one can remember after returning. Some say countless treasures lie beyond them. Others believe there's only one that matters — a legendary artifact capable of rewriting reality itself.

Now, after finally predicting where the next Infinite Hole will appear, I'm ready to go after Grandpa.

There's just one problem... I'm not the chosen one.

She is — a fourteen-year-old girl in a wheelchair who apparently planned on entering anyway.

And she's bringing her cat.

So now I'm heading into an unknown world with a girl I just met, a sleeping cat named Mochi, and a photocard of my favorite J-pop idol for emotional support.

I'm sure this will go exactly according to plan.
