The Brilliant Red Spider Lily is a character-driven dark fantasy set in another world, built around dark cycles of rebirth. The protagonist, originally named Sakura and given the name An, carries three selves within him: the core self who clings to humanity, Number Two who craves slaughter, and Number Three who emerges after his final fall, abandoning emotion and morality to achieve his goal by any means. The red spider lily is the central image, representing pain; every major character is an embodiment of pain, and every one of them is pretending.
