First year high school student Makoto Katayama takes great pride in being slightly above average at just about everything. Maintaining his grades and pace, he is well on his way to what he hopes will be an eventful summer with his classmate, the beautiful and elegant student council president, Uyeno Shizuka. But things don’t seem to be going as planned when he bombs his first administered test. Forced into a study group with his other low scoring classmates, Makoto and his ragtag squad must ace future tests, in order to keep their dreams from being shattered by summer school. But with time running low and no progress being made to study for the next test, they must resort to plan B: cheating!
