The Door to a Bittersweet Ending

What happens when you give a man the possibility to build a new life?

After a dreadful past, which still haunts him up to today, Akira Demoni has lived an anonymous and soulless life, waiting only for death to come get him. However, one night, while returning home from work, he adventures himself in the darkness he fears, only to find a door, emanating a strong light and with words written in a language he doesn't know. Betting on the possibility that that door could give him a new future, even at the risk of dying and becoming mad (or even worse), he decides to leave his reality behind and to open the door, hoping to have the possibility to live a decent life and to leave his past behind him, in that reality he despises from the bottom of his heart.
But, as we all know, what we wish and hope rarely becomes real, and things don't always go like we want...
