Memoirs of Frederick Baumann: City on the Frontline

War has always been cruel towards its recipients, whether it befalls upon a peasant or noble. It will still ravage and bring absolute destruction towards its surroundings. From the depths of recorded history, mankind has always suffered due to its effects. It carries along the feelings of sadness, revenge and anger throughout the hearts of the men who are fighting, which are emotions one should never hold. Thus, begins the story of a young boy, Frederick Baumann, the son of a father and mother of different statuses. One day, war suddenly erupts against the neighboring country on the western front, nearly 60 km from their home. With both his parents and closest friends dead, Frederick, now a junior officer, must find a way to survive and take revenge for his deceased family and survive the horrors of the war. Everything from sabers to bullets to charges and shrapnel, will Frederick ever live long enough to see the day where his enemies and comrades stand by each other hand in hand?

This is my first book ever so uh yes it might be pretty bad but I hope y'all can give constructive feedback on how I can improve writing in this genre thx 🙏
